Sulcular brushing is a technique that can remove plaque found slightly at and below the gingival margin or gums. The toothbrush head rests at a 45 ° angle with the bristles directed into the sulcus, the space between the gum and the tooth.

With a firm yet gentle pressure, short backwards and forwards movement with a manual toothbrush is made targeting one to two teeth at a time.

When using an electric toothbrush, the same method is used but without forward and backwards movements as the head is turning itself.

All the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth are brush using this method. Once you get to the inside surfaces of your front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and use gentle up-and-down strokes with the tip of brush.

The outcome of good toothbrushing depends on the frequency of brushing, the duration, and the technique of the individual.

Brushing at least for two minutes twice a day will have a beneficial effect on your oral health.
