Common Dental Emergencies
A Knocked-Out Tooth
If a tooth falls or dislodges from its socket, it’s essential to act quickly to increase the chances of saving the natural tooth. Please pick up the tooth by the crown, not the root, and gently rinse it with water. If possible, place the tooth back in its socket and hold it in place on your way to our dental clinic. You may also consider tucking the tooth in between the cheek and gum or carry it in a container of milk or your saliva to keep the tooth moist and viable.
Bleeding and Swelling
Injuries to the face, head or neck can result in dental injuries. For those who experience uncontrollable bleeding and swelling, please seek immediate medical care at the nearest hospital.
Broken or Chipped Tooth
A broken or chipped tooth can be uncomfortable and concerning. We can quickly repair the tooth with highly aesthetic restorative dentistry.
Consistent Toothache

ACC Dental Treatment
Urban Dental Studio is an ACC-accredited practice that accepts ACC claims for dental treatment. Your emergency dentists, Dr Juliane & Dr Carol, are also ACC-registered dentists. If you experience dental trauma, Dr Juliane or Dr Carol and our team will ensure you receive comfortable and prompt dental care.
If you acquire a dental injury from an accident, sports injury or as a result of dental care, you may be eligible for ACC assistance to cover treatment costs. When you visit our dental practice for your emergency dental care, our compassionate dentist can help you complete an ACC claim form and submit it on your behalf. Dr Juliane & Dr Carol work with ACC to get the best possible outcome for patients so their oral health can get back on track.
In many cases, our dentist will treat patients on their first visit and charge part of the standard fee, with ACC covering the remainder of the cost. It typically takes one week to receive a letter of determination from ACC.
